mIRC is a multichannel IRC client. Using it, you can chat keyboard-to-keyboard with other Internet users, worldwide. It comes preconfigured for several U.S. and international chat servers, and you can easily add your own. mIRC can be mind-boggling to operate if you find yourself chatting with several people simultaneously in separate tiled or cascaded windows. The IRC protocol has a unique command set, so you'll want to print excerpts from the excellent help file. Recent updates add some 131 fixes and enhancements to make the program run more efficiently, and extensive help files have been added. This is the 16-bit version of the excellent 32-bit version, which comes separately. Netscape Provider Maintenance v1.20

Netscape Provider Maintenance is a useful addition to 32-bit Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later. It lets you maintain settings for several Internet providers, eliminating manual resetting and adjusting of the Netscape setup to accommodate multiple providers. To log on, simply run this utility and select the desired provider. The program then starts Netscape with all the appropriate settings. It automatically saves and restores the Netscape settings each time a different provider is selected and is also bilingual (English/German). This maintenance update offers shortcuts for launching Netscape immediately with a provider profile and allows you to assign different connections for auto-dialing each provider.

Virtual TCP (32-bit) v1.3rlb4a

Virtual TCP provides TCP/IP connectivity to remote Windows applications. It creates a virtual IP connection through networked or SLIP/PPP dial-up services. Virtual TCP emulates host operation so that applications on the computer running it perceive the host as local. Its function is analogous to the way a network drive appears to be physically connected to a PC enabling any Unix or host computer to be accessed remotely. It comes with complete support for dialing into proxy servers through an included dialer program. Scripts can be created to initiate logins and watch for keywords. The program works with 8/7 data bits in any combination throughout the link, meaning that the connection can hop through many intermediate servers/services to arrive at the destination host with no complications. This update is for Windows 95 and Windows NT and adds enhancements such as reduced resource usage, command-line-argument support, and a 'springboard' application (distributed separately) that manages Internet resources.

Talk worldwide via Internet Description: You can chat all over the world using IRC (Internet Relay Chat) servers, and with Internet Phone, you can use your sound card for real-time voice communications with other Internet Phone users. Overseas communications will cost no more than your Internet connection time. Voice transmissions require at least a 14.4Kbps link, and lengthy comments should be expected to travel slowly. The evaluation copy is limited to 60-second transmissions until registered. A short list of IRC servers is included, ready for your log-on use. This major update adds Web browser linkages, greatly improves I-Phone's audio quality, and lowers its price.

Winsock Swapper is a Windows utility for those that use several different browsers associated with different Internet service providers. Read the help file thoroughly before using this utility. Once you are set properly a quick double-click will allow you to swap up to three different Winsock .dll's and optionally launch your browser.
